This Bonsai Soil is 33% Japanese Akadama, 33% Lava Rock and 33% Hyuga Pumice
Japanese Akadama
- Is a naturally occurring, granular clay-like mineral used as soil for bonsai trees and other container-grown plants.
Lava Rock
- Is a commonly used in bonsai soil mix to prevent compaction. Lava rock will not break down over time. It is non toxic and completely reusable which makes it an ideal component for soil mixes. The porous structure of the lava rock also allows for water retention.
Hyuga Pumice
- This Pumice is used by bonsai professionals around the world and has been found to drain well and make wet mixes more dry.
