This is a 16mm original print of the 1940 Walter Lang musical TIN PAN ALLEY, a Twentieth Century-Fox production starring Betty Grable, Alice Faye, Jack Oakie, John Payne, and Allen Jenkins.
This TV print was made in the 1960s for NTA-TV. It has sections that are beautifully printed, and long stretches that are not; it's about half and half.
The sound track is crisp and rich. The songs are delightful, and most of the musical numbers can be enjoyed, in spite of the density problems.
If you don't judge a 16mm print by the Ansel Adams Zone System of Black-and-White Printing, you may be happy to own this moving picture.
There are very few TV cues or vestiges of TV commercial splices.
The print is mounted on two (2) 1600-foot reels. It is offered by one collector to another; no rights are given or implied. The poster art image and still photograph are for reference only.
