Now, this is something you've never seen before -- and won't likely see again.  From our "What were we thinking?" department, it's a harp tailpiece designed for a bass guitar.  Neat, ain't it?
Got yourself a project Rickenbacker 4005 that's missing the original tailpiece?  You know you're not going to find one, so you need a plan B.  Or maybe you're building a little something of your own -- a unique bass of your own manufacture.  Either way, you've got a bass that needs a tailpiece.  Well, we've got a tailpiece without a bass.  I sense opportunity...
This piece has the same graceful lines of our classic harp tailpieces, and it is made of mirror-polished stainless steel.  It looks fabulous.  It's a cinch to install as well, as it's compatible with the standard Rickenbacker R tailpiece bracket as seen in the picture.  Which -- because that's the way we roll -- is included. That's right; you get both the tailpiece
and
the bracket.
