Cambridge Apple Blossom 12.5" Console Bowl Amber 12-Sided Elegant Depression WOW

I just unpacked this beautiful bowl from a box that I had packed away some 25-30 years ago.  This is a large (12.5 inch) console bowl that was manufactured by the Cambridge Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio.  The pattern is "Apple Blossom" and this pattern was manufactured during the 1930's.  This is one of the most beautiful patterns of Elegant Depression Glass.  Elegant Depression Glass was sold in better department stores and jewelry stores of the 1930's - it was not given away as premiums like it inexpensive cousin (regular Depression Glass).  I identified this pattern in the reference book "Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era" by Cathy & Gene Florence (13th edition, copyright 2009).  According to the Florences, it is more difficult to find serving pieces in this pattern - and dinner plates - than stemware.  This particular console bowl is HUGE measuring 12 1/2 inches across from furthest point to furthest point.  If you measure the straight sides, it seems to measure 11 1/8 inches across.  This large bowl measures 4 3/4 inches tall.  The color is amber and the condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, no damage whatsoever.  There are 12 sides (decagon) around the top of the bowl.  This is a stunning piece and this pattern is getting harder to locate.  Please see all of the photos, check my feedback, and ask any questions before making a purchase.  Forgive my photos - the amber color makes the pattern difficult to see in the photos.  I can assure you that the pattern is strong and vibrant and beautiful!!
