The photos I have included here are stills found online. I have other movies also listed this week.
    1) Hokus Pokus. 1949. 16:21 minutes.
    Hokus Pokus
    is a 1949 short subject
    directed by Jules White,
    starring The Three Stooges.
It is the 115th entry in the series released by Columbia Pictures
starring the comedians, who released 190 shorts for the studio between 1934 and 1959.
    2) Termites of 1938. 16:33 minutes.
    Termites of 1938
was filmed on October 19–23, 1937.
The film's title is a parody of the film title Gold Diggers of 1937.
The film has two musical quirks unusual for Stooge shorts. First, the Three Stooges' opening theme, "Listen to the Mockingbird
," is played again when the Stooges first appear onscreen.
Second, music derived from Victor Schertzinger's
score for the 1933 Columbia feature Cocktail Hour
is featured during the dinner scene.
This is the result of producer Charley Chase, who liked incidental music from his time at the Hal Roach
    studio.
    3) Three Loan Wolves. 1946. 16:50 minutes.
    Three Loan Wolves
    was filmed February 27-March 2, 1946,
near the end of Curley Howard
's career. The 42-year-old comedian had suffered a series of minorstrokes
several months prior to filming, and his performances had been unpredictable. By the time of Three Loan Wolves
, he had lost a considerable amount of weight, and lines had creased his face. Larry Fine
    and Moe Howard
    look stocky by comparison.
    While director Edward Bernds
devised ways to cover Curly's illness, Jules White
simply gave most of Curly's lines to Larry. With Three Loan Wolves
, White made Larry the main character (his first time in the spotlight since the Stooges' inaugural
short for Columbia Pictures in 1934, Women Haters
), with nearly the entire film revolving around him. Curly also tried desperately to maintain his falsetto voice, but was clearly unable to. Several scenes are heartbreaking to watch, as the once-superstooge had been relegated to an occasional line of dialogue.
    4) Gem of a Jam. 1943. 16:27 minutes.
The Stooges are janitors in a doctor's office working the night shift. The usual antics occur, first with Moe getting an electrical shock down his pants, leading to a cossack dance
. Then, Curly gets his head wedged inside a fish bowl, containing a live fish. Though Moe and Larry eventually slide the bowl off, Curly starts to feel the swallowed fish tickling his insides. Moe manages to fish the aquatic critter out of Curly.
    A Gem of a Jam
was filmed on June 12–16, 1943.
    [
The Stooges released more short subjects in 1943 than any other year at Columbia Pictures, A Gem of a Jam
    being the tenth entry.
