    The currency has always been an important part of history in Peru
    on August 5, 1921 in the city of The rebellion of Cervantes took place in Iquitos, which marked an important milestone in the history of Peruvian banknotes.
    All the banknotes were dated October 1, 1921 and were put into circulation as of October 7 of the same year;
    and they were mostly used for the payment of public servants, issuing 50,000 Peruvian Pounds and were signed in their entirety by Captain Cervantes,
    Don Ramón Alvis and Don Octavio de los Heros.
    The banknotes were manufactured by the El Oriente printing company,
    issuing them in 3 different qualities of paper, the ½ pound, 1 pound and 5 pound banknotes were printed with a good quality paper in white color given by the firm Ricoff,
    the 1 sol notes in orange paper and the fractional 10, 20 and 50 cent notes were printed with a poor quality paper that over the years has caused the notes to turn yellowish,
