  • Rating: G
  • Film Format: 16mm
  • Actor: Ed Asner, Pat Crowley
  • Leading Role: Pat Crowley, Ed Asner
  • Movie/TV Title: Please Don't Eat the Daisies
  • Condition: This film does have some vinegar smell & warp 😭 ... BUT did load easily and started playing nicely! I only ran opening segment, and projected on to back of a poster that I balanced on a chair, to show how the color is - faded/pinkish with just a bit of color. (Poster bowed on chair, not the film) I also used my phone camera to take a video. The video part came out bad but if copy link will at least be able to 'hear' how nicely it played :) This film is obviously going downhill (and metal reel it's on not great either) but since the Please Don't Eat the Daisies 1965 tv show has never been released thought someone might want to watch an episode just for the nostalgia of it. And pretty neat that Ed Asner stars in this episode called "My Good Friend Whatsisname". See pictures of actual film on reel and for color ... and those blue lines in last pics are NOT the film, just what my camera does sometimes when take moving pics from film or tv screen. Please read ALL below too, thank you!!

    Description

We've been collecting 16mm film that we show when off camping in our Airstream for over 15 yrs.
All films we collect are vintage, used and as common with vintage film may need some degree of care.
We have a huge collection and since bought a smaller house no longer have the space we used to have to store film. I will be listing titles as find time, have lots of tv shows and love them but need to downsize. Our projector is finicky so if I try running it only do so long
    enough
to get some pics from opening ... and if can't run film on projector even though I'm not good at taking close-up camera pictures will still do my best to get at least a few pictures of actual film offering. I know as a film buyer I hate it when sellers use stock photos and describe color as 'warming' & 'faded' without showing what the hell they mean by that. And because like to be as upfront as possible, mentioning I only if taking camera pictures I only unwind a little film from beginning for pics, and because I find that terribly troublesome
I will not be hand rewinding entire reels of film to count splices and commercial slugs like I have read ads from sellers who must have tons more time & space than I do. And when we've had a film break we simply use skinny kind of scotch tape to carefully splice back together... do not have professional splicing equipment, special tape or cement like I've also read about in other seller's ads, but has always worked well and played through fine for us.

    ...
MANY years ago I bought a stack of 16mm Please Don't Eat the Daisies tv eps, my sisters & I loved the tv show when were were little kids 😍 I bought them from overseas and they were sent to me by ship! Unfortunately this episode that is a favorite does have some vinegar smell and can see warpage ... so
since I am HONESTLY DISCLOSING it's declining condition do NOT choose unless okay with that
, selling AS IS. With that being said though ... although I only played beginning it really did load easily and play very nicely... I was surprised! I never run our projector, it's too old & finicky - makes me nervous... but since this film not great anyways I was willing to risk it to get some pics (some color, some w/flash and taken in doors in daylight) but then it started playing well so I stopped it because did not want to take a chance of messing that up with my poor projector skills ;) I've never taken a video with camera phone before and although the camera video part of it has those bars that camera sometimes makes when taking moving pictures... (it's NOT the film)... you can at least
    hear
how nicely it started out playing. I uploaded the video on YouTube... something else I've never done before... but checked at it worked, so copy the link to hear the opening segment playing on our projector :)

cool. Plus, not only are we trying to UNclutter, but now that we've all had our shots saving up for road trip to visit our daughter, son-in-law and 2 young grandkids who we have been missing way too long 😍 So thank you extra for considering choosing from me!!
