Description
Here is a rare set of eight souvenir bone china pieces from Cairns North Queensland Australia!This is a nice little set! It consists of a five cups, a saucer, a small milk pitcher and a butter dish lid. Each has an early transfer image of a beautiful waterfall! The transfer illustration says
"Barron Falls, A Souvenir From Cairns".
Each base is marked
"Atlas China, Stoke On Trent, Grimwade England".
Has Atlas holding up the globe!
The cup measure approx. 3" tall by 3" across. The saucer is 5" across. And the pitcher is 4" tall. The butter cover measures approx. 6"x4"x4". Each has a pretty gold decoration as shown (unsure if 14k or not).
Condition is very good on three of the cups with no chip or cracks. Only the lightest of wear. The other two cups each has damage. One has a rim chip and a crack as shown. The other has a rim chip as shown. The pitcher has some visible cracks. The saucer has no damage and the butter cover has no damage.
