  • Condition: This is in exceptionally clean conditon. Please see the 12 high resolution photos. The brighter photos were taken with photo illumination in place. The darker photos were taken with the light of two table lamps beside the item (evening light). I did this to show you the contrast in various levels of light illumination. The variations in light also brings out differeing details throughout the day cycle.

    Description

    This is a collector's copper clad wall hanging from Australia.  It is the image of the Sydney Opera House, or the Harbor Bridge Opera House (as it's known by in Australia). It's in beautiful conditon.  It comes ready to hang on your wall,  All you need is a small nail or screw. This is a very heavy cast metal.
    It is not sheet metal
    bent or pressed into the image you see.  Withoug any doubt, the piece has been cast using the lost wax provess.  That is how jewelry is mostly made. The piece measres a bit over 7 1/4 inches in diameter.  as already said, It is quite heavy.
    Please note the many Australian animal images (8 in all).  The Opera house has the Sydney skyline in the background. There is also the Harbour Bridge that apears in back of the Opera House. There are a couple of sail boats in the foreground.  The Sydney Tower Eye, is an observation tower, similar to Seatle's Space Needle. The Sydney Tower Eye stands 915 feet in height. For those who have seen the Seattle Space Needle, it is 605' in height (Just for comparison). Although it has never been used as such, this beautiful cast artwork can be used as an ash tray.
