    What you are viewing is a wonderful Vintage Estate Electric Toaster Model No. 177 made by The Estate Stove Company of  Hamilton, Ohio.  This toaster listed as Patent Pending was manufactured c1920's and was very innovative for it's time.  The "Gate" style swing arms allow the toast to be warmed and crisped on both sides.  The knobs are white ceramic and lend to a more decorative look.
    The toaster measures 6 3/4 inches tall and 7 1/4 inches square at the base.  The top measures 5 3/4 inches square.  This toaster has been plugged in and does heat up although it would be prudent to clean the coils and base to avoid smoking.  The plug is intact and the cord is in good condition  for it's age.  There is slight fraying of the cord at the base of the unit.
    This is such a beautiful piece of history and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
