One one end is a switch that you can move as to whether you want to toast 2 or 4 slices. If you would like to toast 2 slices, only one side will heat up.
The overall condition of this toaster is good. The Chrome is in very good shape for its age, with some light surface scratches. Please keep in mind this is vintage item and may contain minor imperfections. This toaster is very clean considering its age.
