    Description

    Vintage Sunbeam Vista Radiant Control toaster, Model VT-40-1. Obviously has some cosmetic wear from age, and needs a good clean up. In order to toast, you have to hit the lever on the right side with whatever you are toasting (the spot for one slice), and it will automatically lower. That being said, no matter if I have it set to "Lighter" or "Darker", it only stays down and on for about 20 seconds. In that time it does get VERY hot. I don't know if that is just how this toaster operates, or if it needs to be tweaked in order to toast for longer/shorter amounts of time.
